The hero is the self on the great errand — called from ordinary life, tested through trials, returning changed with the boon. Hero dreams cast you (or another) in the pattern every mythology tells: departure, ordeal, return.
Positive Resonanz
The call answered, trials transformed to strength, the boon brought home
Schattenaspekt
Heroics as compulsion, saving everyone but yourself, the call refused
Nuancen
The call to adventure: the errand summoning
Refusing the call: the pattern resisted
The ordeal: the transforming trial
The return: bringing the boon back to the ordinary
