Insects & Small Creatures · dream symbol interpretation
Interpretation
The dragonfly spends years underwater as a nymph before its brief, brilliant life in the air. It is the symbol of living between elements, of illusion pierced (its flight defies the eye), and of making the short flight count.
Positive Resonance
Emergence after long preparation, piercing illusion, agility, living fully in brief time
Shadow Aspect
The brevity of the beautiful phase, flitting without landing
Nuances
Dragonfly emerging: long preparation ending
Darting flight: agile mind
Over the pond: consciousness above the unconscious
